Hit the Deck with Plus One!

Join us this year for Hit the Deck 2023! A 10 day challenge where participants are invited to work on their fitness as they support a great cause: helping those with neurological disorders. Participants can select a challenge, fundraise through their network, and then pursue their challenge while keeping their donors/sponsors updated on their progress.

The challenge officially starts at 12pm July 21st and runs through 12pm July 31st.

Hit the Deck-A-Thon Activities
Participants and supporters, it is time to get geared up for the best wellness challenge of the year. Picking your activity is a good way to prepare for the event.

Walk or Run- Walking and running is such a wonderful form of exercise and is the original weight bearing activity! Set a walking or running goal, in miles or days out. Share with your sponsors and turn the miles into better fitness and resources for those with neurological conditions. Maybe add a few hikes into the month and increase your mileage.

Swim- Swimmers are moving in a completely different medium. Set a goal, whether it is laps, meters, miles or days you hit the swim deck. We love our wet heads!

Wellness, yoga, mediation, stretching- Set the activity and goal. This is a way to make each day better with wellness and your friends and family and colleagues will contribute to the goal.

Interval training, cross-fit and all kind of intensive exercise- Set the program, get sponsored and be you. Exercise physiologists tell us that interval training improves fitness levels and strength.

Read, write letters, garden- Do you have a summer goal for reading, writing letters or days out in the garden. Gardening is considered one of the most beneficial activities, lowering blood pressure, increasing flexibility and elevated mood level.

Cycle- Road, mountain, stationary, spin class or your ride of choice. Set the goal, maybe it is a number of stationary or outside rides, miles, or elevation. Cyclists say cycling makes you the most happiest of any exercise activity and it is low impact. Do not forget your helmet riders!

Now that you have your activity. Plan it out, join with friends or teammates. Hit the Deck 2023 is the place to be this summer.
